And then nothing.
After releasing my debut album in 2016, the firework fizzled out. I was so overwhelmed by the competition and what an independent artist has to organise as well as doing the music that I sat back on my sofa and looked at the saturated music industry thinking... I either need to work out how I can smash this or just not bother.
So I prayed for a sign and was inspired to set up the Frome Music Industry Network, which has been pretty successful actually with great feedback and animated conversations! We've had some interesting guest-speakers, we're making connections with a beautiful venue, we're all playing at a music festival in France and a song-writing circle has emerged! And then my most recent guest was Dean G.Hill from What Comes Next who just happens to be an Artist Manager!
Hope that life may just be bringing me what I need to keep going in this horribly precarious industry.
