Tour de Mayenne
A mini tour of Mayenne, France followed the debut album launch party, thanks to a connection that was made between the multi-talented Patrick Moss at Soaring Magpie Records, the Twinning Association and Association Musical'âme! A trinity of gigs was organised by Chris Hall, Tour Manager, Guitarist and Choir Leader, in three very different locations: the first being at the Salles des Fetes in Chateau-Gontier, Frome's twin town, headlining at a charity event with Karim on bass, Michel on drums and Chris on lead guitar.
We then went onto Mayenne's capital, Laval, to a café-bar called Couleur Café with two emerging French artists, in support.
This was the sort of gig that suited my style the best, and it went down really well with the added bonus of a local journalist turning up who bought both my CDs.
And then finally onto an "apero concert" at Au Parc Hotel back in Chateau-Gontier, supported by Chris Hall's band, "Everlights Keep".
All in all it was another truly miraculous unfolding that we were able to get ay kind of post-album launch tour sorted at all and I am truly grateful for the amazingly supportive experience.
